Flames Assistance Program
Hockey Calgary & the Calgary Flames Foundation support the Flames Evenstrength Program (FEP), this initiative alleviates the cost of playing hockey underprivileged children in our community. Since 2000, the program has distributed $600,000 in support of 1,600 local minor hockey kids. In 2008, the first annual Flames EvenStrength Hockey Camp was established. A total of 30 kids, all recipients of funding through FEP, participated in a week-long hockey development camp administered by Hockey Calgary.

In 2009, a new partnership was formed between the Flames Foundation for Life, Homes by Avi and Fan 960. The main focus of this partnership was to raise funds in support of FEP through various fundraising events including an autograph session with Craig Conroy and Peter Maher, raffles and auctions. To raise awareness about the program, a series of radio commercials are featured on Fan 960.
